Computer gaming has experienced a bit of a boost in recent years, and has established itself as a mass media, like movies or music. Encyclopaedia Arcadia is a celebration of the gaming artform, a database of games through (recent) history. Games for desktop computers, consoles, handhelds and arcade cabinets are all welcome here. If a game has been commercially released for any system, then it deserves a spot here. Where possible, personal opinion is kept to a minimum in the entries themselves. Instead, it provides factual information -- Designers, platforms, release dates, and things of that nature -- and a brief description.

Please help us! If you can provide us with a screenshot for any of the image-deficient games on our list, get in contact. Note that we'll only accept screenshots that are your own work or confirmed public domain; no stealing from other sites. We're looking for two images: the title screen and an "action" shot that sums up the game as succinctly as possible. Full accreditation will, of course, be given.
