Eternal Legend - Final Fantasy IX - Eidolons
Final Fantasy IX Eidolons

Ark

For when something really needs hurting, and the party needs a few minutes to sit back and take the weight off while watching the action. Ark's strength is unmatched, far in excess of that of Bahamut, though it does carry the Shadow element which a few enemies are immune to. Ark is also notable for his difficulty to enlist. While no power-hungry princess could possibly ignore Ark, Bahamut is likely to be Dagger's strongest summon.

Gemstone

Pumice (100AP to learn)

Pumice may be common volcanic glass but in the world of Final Fantasy IX, it is as rare as chocobos' teeth. So rare that it has to be synthesised by Hades from two Pumice Pieces, of which there are only three to find in the first place: Defeat Ozma, defeat Ark himself, or unearth the Outer Island 2 chocograph.

Attack
Eternal Darkness (80MP)

Causes Shadow damage to all enemies.

Darkness falls, and becomes a spinning starfield. We settle our focus on a red planet, from which there is a brief flash. The flash reveals itself to be a Victorian-style spaceship, transforming itself as it hurtles through space. It approaches Earth, building up an intense corona of re-entry heat. It continues to change form as it falls through the cloud cover, eventually becoming humanoid. At its head, a runic circle appears and fires a thin red beam at the enemy party. The lasers etch out another shape on the floor, in which more symbols appear. Ark then launches a barrage of light missiles, which target the shape and rain down upon the enemy. As the explosions settle, the tip of Ark's sword begins to glow a brilliant red. From a distance, we see a thin vertical column of bright light explode, taking chunks of rock with it. From space, we see the column extend from the planet briefly, before disappearing into nothing.
