Final Fantasy IX Eidolons

Fenrir

Fenrir is Eiko's first summon, and (for a while) one of her only effective offensive moves. To make up for this, he may be summoned in one of two ways. The standard summon is an Earth attack, effective against most non-flying enemies. By equipping a Maiden Prayer (from Ipsen's Castle) the attack changes to a devastating Air-based one.

Summoner

Eiko

Gemstone

Sapphire (55AP to learn)

Eiko starts out with one of these, so she can summon Fenrir from the off. Large stashes may be found in the Cold Lagoon and Outer Island 2 chocograph treasure chests, and any more are easily made from Antidotes at any decent synth shop.

Note

Equipping the add-on Maiden Prayer changes the attack to Millenial Decay until it is removed.

Attack
Terrestrial Rage (or Millenial Decay) (30MP)

Causes Earth (or Wind) damage to all enemies.

Against a red moon stands Fenrir. With a howl, the totem on which he was apparently standing rises. The ground beneath the enemy party cracks and churns, and then a rock fist thrusts out and punches the enemy into the sky.

For Millenial Decay, Fenrir instead becomes many wolf-headed gusts of wind that rush the enemy and form a tornado.

Movie (Terrestrial Rage, AVI, DivX, 1.14MB)
