Devotion -- Someday I will be queen, but I will always be myself
On the evening of her 16th birthday, during the play being performed for her by Tantalus, Princess Garnet slips away quietly to escape from the castle. In doing this she meets Zidane, who nobly agrees to help as he was going to kidnap her anyway. She wished to experience what it is to live outside the palace; a wish which will be easily granted now that she is on the run from her mother. Taking up the pseudonym Dagger, she and Zidane begin a journey to discover why her country is launching devastating attacks on its neighbours and why the Queen will apparently stop at nothing to retrieve her. And amidst all this, against her own wishes, she finds that she is falling for this commoner...
Battle commands
Summon
Garnet can invoke the power of strong attack Eidolons to destroy her opponents. Occasionally, the summon will play out its full-length animation and do more damage than the short version. After gaining the help of Ramuh, she can summon for a quarter of the MP it would normally take.
Wht Mag
Garnet can learn a variety of white magics which involve inflicting status ailments on the enemy, and also a few defensive and curative spells to protect and heal the party in times of trouble. However, she is a summoner before a white mage and so lacks the more powerful spells.
Trance
On entering Trance, Garnet's Summon command becomes Eidolon. This command works in the same way as summon, but has two very powerful side effects. First, the summon animation has a much better chance of being "full" and so doing more damage. Second, the Eidolon's attack will repeat every turn.
