Zidane: The cavern lies to the left of this arch. We'll follow the ledge!

Steiner goes over to look. After a moment, he falls in also. Zidane investigates.
Zidane: Yo, Rusty! You're...not alright, are you?
Zidane: What happened to you guys?
He leaps in. Garnet comes over and peers over the edge.
Zidane: Hey, Rusty! Move it or lose it!
He kicks him.
Zidane: Get up!
Zidane: ...It's no use.
He climbs back out. Garnet collapses.
Zidane: Oh no! Garnet! Not you, too?
Zidane: Garnet? She's out cold...
Zidane: Shoot... I'm falling asleep...
He too, collapses.
Time passes. A bell rings.
Zidane: What's that sound...?
He gets up.
Zidane: It came from over there... is somebody there?

(Voice): Why didn't you fall asleep?
He looks up.
Black Waltz No. 1: You should be dead by now...
Zidane: Are you the one causing this blizzard?
Black Waltz No. 1 leaps down to Zidane.
Black Waltz No. 1: Hee-hee-hee... That's right!
He rings the bell.
Battle: Black Waltz 1
Ice Giant, Sealion...
Come before me!
A cool Blizzara-like effect forms into Sealion.
Go, Sealion!

Black Waltz 1 starts casting Blizzard on Sealion.

Everyone gets up.

Vivi and Steiner climb out of the pit as Zidane enters.
Zidane: Hey, there. Everybody okay?
Steiner: You! What just happened?
Zidane: It was no big deal.
Steiner: You're hiding something!
Zidane: Hey, nothing happened. You heard me.
Steiner: You...didn't touch the princess, did you?
Zidane: Just what are you accusing me of?
Garnet: Steiner, he said nothing happened. Why are you being so rude?
Steiner: ...My apologies, Princess.
Garnet: Well, I'm glad everyone is safe. Shall we move on?
Zidane turns.
Garnet: Zidane? Is something bothering you?
Zidane: No... It's nothing.
Outside, cliff face
Garnet: We made it through the Mist!
Garnet: Oh, the sun feels great!
Zidane: Look, there's a village.
Zidane: I think I've been there before...
Garnet: It sounds like you've been everywhere, Zidane.
Garnet: The only other worlds I've visited are in books.

She starts to leave.

He nearly pushes him off the cliff. Zidane's dagger drops down to Garnet, and she inspects it.
Steiner: Besides, we're heading back to the castle. You leave her alone.
Steiner: And you will address her as 'Princess' from now on, you silly peasant!
Zidane: Dammit, Rusty! Why don't you just shut up?
Zidane: Who do you think you are? I don't take orders from a stuck-up jerk like you!
Vivi: You guys!
Garnet: Stop it, you two!
Garnet: ...Steiner, I do not intend to return to the castle.
Garnet: And I do see Zidane's point. I need a new name...
