Barret (angrily): It's the life blood of this planet. But Shinra keeps suckin' the blood out with these weird machines.
Cloud: I'm not here for a lecture. Let's just do it.
Barret: Alright! You come with me from now on.
* Jessie: Biggs and I got the code for this door.
* Biggs: Code deciphered. (door opens)
* Biggs: Think how many of our people risked their lives, just for this code...

Barret: Little by little the reactors'll drain out all the life. Then that'll be that.
Cloud: It's not my problem.
Barret (angrily): The planet's dyin', Cloud!
Cloud: The only thing I care about is finishin' this job before security and the Roboguards come.
Barret is angry

* Jessie: Push [OK] in front of a ladder to grab on to it. Then use the [Directional button] to climb up and down. (jumps onto and climbs down ladder)

* Approach it
Barret: When we blow this place, it ain't gonna be nothin' more than a hunka junk. Cloud, you set the bomb.
Cloud: Shouldn't you do it?
Barret: Jus' do it! I gotta watch to make sure you don't pull nothin'.
Cloud: Fine, I'll do it.
The screen turns red, and a high-pitched whine is heard. Cloud collapses.
Watch out! This isn't just a reactor!!

Barret: What's wrong?
Cloud: Huh?
Barret: What's wrong, Cloud? Hurry it up!
Cloud: ...Yeah, sorry.
Cloud walks over to the core and kneels down. Beeping noises. A siren is heard and everyone looks around.
Barret: Heads up, here it comes!

* When it raises its tail
Cloud: Barret, be careful!
Attack while it's tail's up!
It's gonna counterattack with its laser.
Cloud: Come on, let's get outta here!
Ten minutes to detonation!

Cloud (kneels): You all right?
Jessie: My leg got stuck. (stands) Thanks! (leaves)

* Biggs, without rescuing Jessie: Jessie still isn't back yet!
* Biggs, with Jessie rescued: Let's go!
* Jessie: Code deciphered. (door opens)

All run over to Wedge. Timer stops.
Jessie falls over, but Cloud rescues her just in time.
