Cloud shocks.
Aerith: You're up bright and early.
Cloud (shakes): I couldn't ask you to go. I knew it would be dangerous.
Aerith: Are you done?
Aerith: You have to go through the slum in Sector 6 to get to Tifa's 7th Heaven. I'll take you there. Come on!
Aerith runs, Cloud shrugs.
Aerith's house
* Bed
Cloud: Looks like I can rest here.
* Sleep
* Don't want to sleep
Playground
Aerith: The gate to Sector 7's in there.
Cloud: Thanks. I guess this is goodbye. You gonna be all right going home?
Aerith (shakes): Oh no! 'What ever will I do!?'... isn't that what you want me to say?
* Take her home
Aerith (laughs): Isn't that a little out of the way?
Cloud: Yeah, I guess so.
* Go on to Sector 7
Aerith: I could do that. But won't I be in your way?
Cloud: What do you mean in the way?
Aerith: Nothing!
Aerith: Can we take a break?
* Aerith
She looks at the moogle slide.
Aerith: I can't believe it's still here.
She climbs atop it.
Aerith: Cloud, over here!
Cloud shrugs and joins her.
Aerith: What rank were you?
Cloud: Rank?
Aerith: You know, in SOLDIER.
Cloud: Oh, I was...
He looks up, and there is a brief flash.
Cloud: First Class.
Aerith (looks away): Just the same as him.
Cloud: The same as who?
Aerith: My first boyfriend.
Cloud: Were you... serious?
Aerith (shakes, looks at Cloud): No. But I liked him for a while.
Cloud: I probably knew him. What was his name?
Aerith (shakes): It really doesn't matter.
The gates open, and a chocobo-drawn carriage enters.
Cloud: Huh? Hey, back there...
Cloud (stands): Tifa!?
The carriage leaves.
Aerith: That girl in the cart was Tifa? Where was she going? She looked kind of odd...
Aerith follows, and leaves.
Cloud (shock): Wait!
Cloud: I'll go on alone! You go home!!
Cloud shakes his head as Aerith disappears.
