Quistis is something of a prodigy in Garden. She completed her training and became a SeeD at the tender age of 15, going on to become a full-time instructor by the time she was 17. She even has her own fangroup known as the Trepies.
Arguably her favourite student, Squall, is also her biggest cause for concern. She has a hard time understanding him and a harder one dealing with his rivalry with Seifer, also a student of hers. Her inability to relate is ultimately her downfall, as she is stripped of her instructorship and demoted to a regular SeeD after just one year.
She soon joins Squall on his mission, lending her experience and maintaining an air of authority whenever possible. Her skills with a whip make her a powerful fighting force in battle, which she backs up with a wide variety of magics adapted from monsters.
