Roof of the comms tower

Some Galbadian soldiers are working on the tower's crackling electrics. One salutes.
Wedge: Major Biggs!
Wedge: There has been a report of a monster-shaped shadow on top of the tower!
He is ignored.
Wedge: Major Biggs!
Biggs: Be quiet! I'm busy! This goes like this...and... Geez, what's with these crappy old tools? And...and... Why do I have to make all the repairs!? AHHH!!!
Wedge: Sir, I'll check around while the repairs are being done.
He leaves.
Biggs: Let's see... Hmmm... Put this here...and...
Biggs: This goes here...and...
Alpha Team arrive on the lift.
Biggs: There, it's complete!
As they approach him, the structure begins to tremble. Inside, the generators whirr into life and activate the tower. A column rises suddenly from the centre, expanding into a massive transmitter which sends a beam of light into the atmosphere.
Squall: What do you think you're doing!?
Biggs turns.
Biggs: Huhhhh? Likewise, MISTER! What do you think you're doing!?
Biggs: H-HEY! What happened to all the soldiers down below!?
Biggs: WEDGE! Take care of these twerps!!!
He looks around, to be greeted by the smiling faces of the rest of the team.
Biggs: W...Wedge?
Biggs: I...ah...
Biggs: Well...ah...I seem to be done here, so I'll just be on my...
He tries to barge his way through.
Biggs: I-I'm leaving... Move it! Move! Move!
Seifer arrives on the lift and knocks away Biggs' equipment with a swipe of his gunblade.
Seifer: Sorry to crash the party.
Biggs: Ah...AHH...AHHHHH! Are you CRAZY!!!
Seifer: Just shut UP!
Boss battle: Biggs
Selphie hops over to Seifer.
Selphie: Squad B captain?
Selphie: S'cuse me! I have new orders!
Selphie: All SeeD members and SeeD candidates are to withdraw at 1900 hours. Assemble at the [shore]!
Seifer: Withdraw!? There are still enemies around!
Selphie: I know, but I'm just a messenger.
Squall: An order to withdraw takes priority. I don't want to miss the vessel.
Seifer: What time d'you say?
Selphie: Like I said...!
Selphie: All SeeD members and SeeD candidates are to withdraw at 1900 hours. Assemble at the [shore]!
Seifer: 1900 hours... We only have 30 mins!
Seifer: You got 30 minutes to get down to the [shore]! Better run!
Seifer makes his exit.
Selphie: Heeey! Wait for us!
Zell: Who the hell does he think he is!?
Squall: Why don't you ask him.
Squall: Let's go.

Outside

A four-legged machine hangs from the underside of the dish, and drops down upon the unsuspecting trio.
Boss battle: X-ATM092

Path

X-ATM092, now recovered, approaches the squad once more.
Squall: Forget it! Let's go!

Western path

The ground shakes as X-ATM092 advances. If you are running, you lose balance and are drawn into another battle.

Bridge

X-ATM092 leaps clear over the party, and turns to meet them head-on.
Boss battle: X-ATM092

Street

It refuses to give up the chase, even in the narrow confines of the sidestreet. It rips chunks out of buildings and crushes a car underfoot as it goes.

Outside the pub

More SeeD candidates appear.
(Candidate 1): Something
(Candidate 2): Roger!

End of the street

Squall lags behind the team, and runs for his life with the Black Widow hot on his heels. It crashes through towards the beach, forcing him to dive over the barrier and hit the sand running. Zell makes it to the transport first, while Selphie dithers and waits for Squall. We see from the machine's point of view that he is now within striking range, and it launches its attack... only to be riddled with a volley of lead from Quistis' ship-mounted Gatling gun.
