Valefor
Valefor has the honour of being Yuna's first Aeon, being the guardian of Besaid's temple. She is a magnificent avian beast with multicoloured wings, revealing her nature as a flyer (and so out of reach of some enemies) and multi-elemental attacker. Although not having an element of her own, she initially knows all four basic Black Magics. Her 9,999 damage limit can be broken by powering up Yuna's Nirvana with the Moon Crest.
Special attack: Sonic Wings
Sonic Wings targets one enemy, dealing physical damage. In addition, if the enemy is not immune to delay attacks, it will push back their turn.
Overdrive: Energy Cannon
After building up a strong ball of energy in her beak, Valefor will fire a ray right through the enemy party. After a brief pause, the ground will erupt along the new "fault line," dealing heavy damage to all enemies. Even aerial opponents will be hit by this attack.
Overdrive: Energy Blast
Energy Blast is a much more powerful version of Energy Cannon, again hitting all enemies. The dog in Besaid is the key to teaching this ability to Valefor; after beginning your pilgrimage, find the dog and it will give you something mangled and slobbery. This causes Valefor to learn the new overdrive.
