Kimahri Ronso is a young member of the Ronso tribe, holding pride and honour above all else. After a fight resulted the breaking of his horn, a symbol of power among the Ronso, he left in shame. He found himself in Bevelle as Yuna's father left on his pilgrimage; Kimahri has watched over her since that day, and is now a devoted guardian.
For Kimahri, protecting Yuna is his only reason to be. He spends much of his time standing on silent guard, rarely more than a few steps away should she ever come into danger. It's not until half way through the pilgrimage before he says his first word, and even then he speaks only when necessary.
In battle, Kimahri is the definitive all-rounder. He occupies the centre of the standard Sphere Grid, starting dangerously close to Ultima, while level 1 locks open up to the paths of Tidus, Wakka, Lulu and (past an additional level 2 lock) Yuna. His comparable physical and magical attributes make him suitable for just about any job. By using Lancet, Kimahri can learn an additional set of skills that none of the other guardians have access to.
