- He opens his eyes to find Yuna cradling his head in her lap.
- Yuna: I will defeat Sin... I must defeat Sin.
- Tidus, VO: I was just fooling myself.
- Tidus, VO: Maybe it was that day... on the sea, under the burning sun.
- Tidus, VO: I started to give up hope.
- Tidus, VO: I was in a foreign world. I wasn't going home.
- Tidus, VO: This was my new reality, and I was stuck in it for good.

- Yuna disembarks and prays to the small gathering of survivors.
- Yuna: Greetings! I am the summoner Yuna. I have come from the temple in Besaid.
- Man: M'lady Summoner!
- Yuna: If there is no other summoner here, please allow me to perform the sending.
- Man: Thanks be to ye!
- Woman: Our loved ones... We feared they would become fiends!
- Yuna: Please, take me to them.
- They depart.
- Wakka: We'll go see what we can do to help in town.
- * Crewman: We won't be able to return to Besaid unless it's fixed.
- * Woman: Hey, you're alive!
- Woman: Wait!
- Woman: What do you want? We're not open!
- * Letty: Tidus, watch your step! It's not safe this way!
- * Man: The pub's closed. I don't think I can get through this without a drink.
- Kilika - Residential Area
- All eyes are on Yuna as she stands at the water's edge. Tidus cautiously approaches Lulu.
- Tidus: Uh, what's a "sending"? Are we going somewhere?
- Lulu: You truly are clueless. Are you sure it's just your memory that's the problem?
- Lulu: The dead need guidance.
- Lulu: Filled with grief over their own death, they refuse to face their fate.
- Lulu: They yearn to live on, and resent those still alive.
- Lulu: You see, they envy the living.
- Lulu: And in time, that envy turns to anger, even hate.
- Lulu: Should these souls remain in Spira, they become fiends that prey on the living.
- Lulu: Sad, isn't it?
- Lulu: The sending takes them to the Farplane, where they may rest in peace.
- Tidus: Summoners do this?
- They turn to watch Yuna conduct the ritual, walking out onto the surface of the water and dancing to release the souls from the coffins beneath.
- Tidus: It must be tough, being a summoner.
- Lulu: Yuna chose her own path. She knew from the beginning what it meant.
- Lulu: All we can do now is protect her along the way.
- Lulu: Until the end.
- Tidus: Until the...end?
- Lulu tuts.
- Tidus: What's the end?
- There is a long pause.
- Lulu: Until she defeats Sin.
- She heads off to comfort the summoner.
- Yuna: I hope... I hope I did okay.
- Lulu: You did very well!
- Lulu: They're reached the Farplane by now. But...no tears next time, hm?
- Tidus, VO: I wished there would never be a next time.
- Tidus, VO: No more people being killed by Sin. No more sendings for Yuna.
- Tidus, VO: Everyone stood there watching her.
- Tidus, VO: It was strange, and somehow...horrifying.
- Tidus, VO: I never wanted to see it again.
