- He whistles again. Yuna pauses.
- Tidus: You try it, too! Put your fingers in your mouth like this.
- Yuna (trying it): Like...this?
- Tidus: Uh-uh, not like that. Like this.
- Tidus: Then, you just blow.
- She blows ineffectually.
- Yuna: It's not working.
- Tidus: Practise!
- Yuna: Okay!
- Tidus: Hey, use that if we get separated.
- Tidus: Then, I'll come running, okay?
- Tidus: Well, guess we should just stick together, then, till you can do it.

- Yuna: Luca is the second largest city in Spira.
- Tidus: I thought every town was little--you know, like Besaid and Kilika.
- Yuna: Towns don't usually get bigger than that.
- Yuna: Because when a lot of people start to gather together...

- There is a pause.
- Tidus: What about Luca? It's safe here?
- Yuna: It's not any different, but the stadium is here.
- Yuna: The Crusaders fight to protect it with all their strength.
- Tidus: They protect the stadium?
- Yuna: Blitzball is really the only entertainment that we have.
- Yuna: Spira's a little short of fun these days.
- Tidus (beat): Whoa! Talk about pressure!
- Yuna: That's right!
- Yuna: Is Zanarkand like this, too?
- Tidus has a good look round.
- Tidus: Well, there are more buildings. All tall ones and cramped together.
- Yuna (looking up for them): They must be so tall! Don't you ever get dizzy?
- Tidus laughs.
- Yuna: Let's go find Sir Auron!
- Luca - Outskirts
- The Crusaders are waiting nearby.
- Gatta: Hmm?
- Gatta: Whatcha doing here? The tournament's about to start!
- Tidus: I'm looking for someone.
- Luzzu: Well, you're looking in the wrong place. There aren't many people here.
- Gatta: Everyone's either at the stadium or watching the game on the sphere.
- Gatta: They love their blitzball.
- Tidus: Aren't you gonna watch?
- Luzzu: We'd like to, but we're waiting for some couriers.
- Luzzu (turning to look to the Highroad): Hmm, they're late...
- Luzzu: Wanna ditch the courier and go watch the game?
- Gatta: But...but we're still on duty. What about the mission, sir?
- Luzzu: See what I mean?
- Luzzu: We might be a little late, but we will go watch you play.

- Tidus looks round dejectedly.

- She runs off to ask the patrons. Meanwhile Kimahri's stoic watchmanship is interrupted.

- Kimahri considers Tidus' advice, and floors Yenke.
- (Unseen bouncer): Take it outside! The tournament's starting, you hear?

- Mika appears on the bar's screen.
- Mika: Today, on this glorious day, players from all over Spira have assembled here...
- Mika: to participate in this great contest of bravery, skill, and strength.
- Mika: All of these fine teams, equally renowned, deserve to win the cup today.

- The stadium's sphere pool is activated, filling with water from huge arced jets. Once the scene has settled, the Aurochs and the Psyches swim out and take their positions for the blitzoff. Meanwhile, back in the bar...
- Tidus: Kimahri! Yuna's gone!
- Biran takes a swing in revenge, but Kimahri abandons the confrontation in search of the absent summoner.
