| HP and MP are your friends, but they have a habit of running out at the most inopportune of moments. Particularly suited to those of low level, this grid offers quick access to Drain and Osmose to help you recover while making the enemy suffer. At high levels, HP is abundant, but Osmose may still be useful for draining magical fiends of their power and stocking up your own white or black magic reserves. | ||
| Healing Wind | ||
| Help | Grid imbued with the power of healing. | |
| Chapter | 1 |

| Acquisition | Complete the "Behind the Scenes" mission. | |
| A true blessing, and available almost from the outset with just a quick trip to Luca. Simply equipping this grid grants access to that most handy of white magics, Cure, whether or not you have even found the White Mage dressphere. More powerful Cures are also available, but you may find the MP cost rather high at this early stage. The mort powerful Heart Reborn is available soon. | ||
| Heart Reborn | ||
| Help | Grid containing Life magic. | |

| Acquisition | Correctly identify the quizmaster when asked for the meaning of life. | |
| Take Healing Wind, but add Life into the balance for free. Later on, more attractive grids and accessories will appear, but this is a must for any low-level sphere hunters. | ||
| Healing Light | ||
| Help | Grid containing Full-Cure magic. | |
| Chapter | 2 |

| Acquisition | Sneak into the Syndicate's base and complete the chapter. | |
| At first glance, this grid looks to be the better of the Healing/Heart pair above. Appearances can be deceptive, however. It gains a node over Heart Reborn, and provides slightly quicker access to Curaga, but at the expense of immediately available Life. The extra ability, Full-Cure, looks tempting, but is it really ever preferable to a standard Curaga? | ||
| Immortal Soul | ||
| Help | Grid containing Full-Life magic. | |
| Chapter | 5 |
Background: Macalania spring
|
| Location | Farplane | |
| Nodes | 4 | |

| Equip | Use Life & Cure | |

Use Curaga
![]() ![]() Use Full-Life | |
| Acquisition | Descend into the Abyss and defeat a certain boss therein. | |
| Finally, a worthy successor to the restorative grid line. Taking the best bits of Healing Light, and adding in instant Life, the only particular downside to this grid is that you must wait until chapter 5 to find it. Full-Life, unlike its Cure counterpart, is well worth the effort given the amount of HP you will doubtlessly have by this point. | ||
| Wishbringer | ||
| Help | Grid containing Regen magic. | |
| Chapter | 3 |
|
| Location | Mt. Gagazet | |
| Nodes | 5 | |
| Gates | 2 | |
| Equip | HP Stroll Use Regen | |
| Abilities |
Use Curaga
![]() Auto-Regen | |
| Acquisition | Defeat Garik on the Gagazet summit. | |
| I have a soft spot for Regen, and take every opportunity I can to use it in battle. Wishbringer is a wonderful grid designed to keep your HP up via indirect methods. Walking around between battles helps to heal, while a little spherechanging during tough encounters grants permanent Regen status to keep you afloat. Just remember than slow regenration is of little use if you're losing more HP than you gain, so low-level Cures or Hi-Potions will be required every now and again. | ||
