Some fiends are misunderstood, some are just unlucky, and some are simply evil. The Mindflayer does not want to talk through its issues with a trained professional; it would much rather reach into his head and feast on the delicious brain-emissions therein. Capapble of destroying minds, it actively seeks to take advantage of those beneath it (which is pretty much everyone) just for fun. Its latest victim is an innocent Garif seeking to understand the theories behind the creatures.

Encounter
Phase 1 Dig, Henne Mines
The Mindflayer loves power, and can be found in the southernmost junction of the Phase 1 Dig deep within the mines. He may not appear if you don't have a strong will for him; be sure to have plenty of MP to lure him from hiding.
