Ashe
The young princess of Dalmasca is the only surviving heir to the throne, though she involuntarily gave up the position when the Empire announced her untimely suicide. Ashe is fiercely determined to restore her kingdom and refuses to lie down (or stay dead) for the Archadean forces. Her sense of duty is strong and she tries not to let her personal feelings overcome, but she is all too aware of the futility of her position. Having to work with Basch, her father's killer, does little to help matters...
Ashe is no fair princess to be protected. While her physical strength may not be much compared to the men of the team, she is almost on a par with Balthier in combat ability. Where she really excels, however, is in the magick department; her MP eventually overtakes Penelo's and she is consistently the strongest with regards to spellpower. Despite coming kitted out with a sword, Ashe is best kept in the safety of ranged attacks until she can keep herself protected.
