Balthier
(In)famous sky pirate Balthier epitomises the gentleman thief, stealing from those who can afford to be taken down a peg and generally living the life he wants to regardless of what anyone else thinks. Even getting caught is part of the game for Balthier; with the gift of the gab and a healthy respect for game theory he's happy to charm his way through any problems and turn the situation to his advantage. Why bother stealing when you can convince the mark to give everything away willingly?
For all his well-spoken showmanship, Balthier is not very good at reciting incantations. Magickally speaking, he is useless. He makes up for it by being light on his feet and not too shabby in the strength department, meaning he can make use of a variety of weapons.
