Vaan
Vaan is a young boy with dreams well above his station, not that they're hard to have when your station is an orphaned thief in the slums of Rabanastre. Or when your dreams are of being a successful sky pirate in a free world without the Empire. It is a long journey from Lowtown to the clouds, and a complex one to boot if the Empire has anything to say about it, but Vaan is not one to give up.
Vaan takes the role of the primary player character and you chart his development from level 1 up. His stats are generally very impressive across the board, only being let down slightly by a below average MP well. He will nearly always be available as a party member whether active or in reserve, and is capable of taking on almost any role. He makes a good party leader as his high defence can cope with the attacks the position draws.
