Magic materia
FFVII Materia

Green magic materia enables the bearer to use spells of the black magic, white magic, and time/space magic variety; that is, offensive, defensive, and support magic. Offensive spells may be elemental or non-elemental. Defensive spells restore HP. Support spells inflict status ailments on the enemy, cure the party's status ailments, and give the party beneficial status changes.

Magic Plus
FFVII Materia

The bearer of this independent materia enjoys a percent increase of the Magic stat. The higher the level of Magic Plus, the higher the percentage increase.

Magic points

The number of magic points, or MP, a character has determines the spells they may cast. A spell is not available for casting when MP is lower than its required cost. More powerful magic tends to use up much more MP, and thus should be used sparingly. MP may be restored, if the character is not KOed, with measures such as the Osmose spell and Ether items.

A body armour which teaches Auto-Potion and MP+10% ability to the wearer. One is part of the Chocograph treasure, Bird's-eye Lagoon.

Magicite

The final form of espers and a powerful source of magic. When an esper dies, it crystalises into Magicite. Kefka of the Evil Empire was deliberately killing espers in order to create Magicite for himself.

FFVI Item

An item which can be used in battle. It will summon a completely random esper.

FFVI Skill

One of Setzer's Slots, activated when the reels read BAR BAR BAR. Magicite summons a random Esper, even if the party has not gained it.
