This magic materia's single powerful spell Ultima causes large non-elemental damage to every enemy without the help of an All materia.
FFVII Skill130 MP. This spell is available when Ultima magic materia is equipped. Ultima causes heavy non-elemental damage to all targets. It is available on materia level 2. There are no other spells on the materia.

After the brief battle with it in Mideel, Ultima may be found hovering above a lake south of Midgar. Ram it with the Highwind to initiate this optional battle. After flying away from battle several times, each time ending up in a separate location, Ultima will finally settle above Cosmo Canyon for the final fight. Defeating Ultima will net you Cloud's Ultima Weapon, and will also knock it from the sky, creating a crater that will enable you to reach the Ancient Forest without a mountain chocobo.
