Nihongo
(Japanese)
If you are a regular reader of Eternal Legend, chances are you're into games. Probably with a penchant for RPGs. If so, then you've probably seen plenty of screenshots and more than a handful of websites filled with bizarre lines and eyestrain-inducing symbols. Amazingly, it's not all random: it's actually a language known as Japanese. (One paragraph in and you've either insulted or patronised all of your readers. You're so fired. -Ed)
I'm not going to fool you into thinking that learning Japanese is easy. It's not. Sometimes, it's not even fun. But, whether you want to chat with the natives or just translate a line from that imported game of yours, it can be done. So, relax, and work at your own pace, and don't be disheartened when you still can't form a basic sentence. The following guides aren't meant to be complete lessons, and needn't be read in order, so feel free to browse around and mix and match.
