We've also got a new Poll, or more specifically a new poll engine. It should look and function just like the old one, only faster and 35% more shiny. If you notice any errors, please contact us. Unfortunately, the poll results page (for now) only queries the old data, so you won't see any new votes in there. Sorry.

Update: Now it does.

Oh, and happy treason day to all of you Brits out there. Have fun burning things in effigy.

Saturday, November the 2nd, 2002

We've got a new Forum, so we have. I know it looks crap at the moment, but we're working on it. Despite its sheer ugliness, it works. So go and post stuff.

Thursday, October the 17th, 2002

Long time, no see, eh? Unfortunately, that "real world" thing has been getting in the way of good, honest updating lately, hence the lack of change around these parts. But! FFX lovers can get hold of the Player Characters and a painful archive of Equipment.

In other, more interesting news: someone who isn't me has sent me something! Huzzah.

Thursday, August the 22nd, 2002

Well, twist my nipple nuts if it isn't an update. But wait! It's nothing to do with FFX this time, but the FFIX Player Characters instead. Bet you weren't expecting that one.

Wednesday, August the 14th, 2002

Believe it or not, a lot has been going on here of late. However, it has all been little updates and things that weren't really worth posting about. Information has been added, corrections corrected, that sort of thing. Biggest of them all is the Ancient Library, now 13% easier to navigate.

Tuesday, August the 6th, 2002

The FFX updating has started, although with more of a "phrrt" than a "bang." Those wanting the lovely Celestial Weapons should be happy enough, mind.

Thursday, August the 1st, 2002

Well, the day after we say that we won't be making any more wallpapers, we find an old .zip of VIII disc 1 FMV shots. So, go and look at Balamb Garden.

Tuesday, July the 17th, 2002

We've been gathering FFX data for a few weeks now, but we're also separated from the other games until the end of the summer. Expect updates to be pretty much FFX-only for a few weeks. Speaking of which, here's the first: The Al Bhedorator. Woo.

Sunday, June the 23rd, 2002

Many thanks to those of you who emailed in to tell us that we had missed some of the more obscure Eidolon data. That'll teach us to think we know everything.

Wednesday, June the 19th, 2002

We're back, after an errant CGI script annoyed the server and shut us down. Oopsie.

Monday, June the 17th, 2002

Just a little teaser update to the Ancient Library today. A bigger one is coming. Really.

Monday, June the 10th, 2002

During a routine clean-out of our CD collection, we found the FFVII box cowering at the back. After carefully dusting it off and reinstalling it, we were captivated by just how good it is. And the FFVII Monsters list is just part of what was produced: over 100 monsters, from the North Mako Reactor to the Temple of the Ancients.

Wednesday, May the 8th, 2002

Let's face it, who wouldn't want to be a moogle? Tubbaware Interactive's Chaonomicon can help you live out that dream. Note that the moogle dictionary works best with the ruling set to "basic;" anything higher and it tends to splurt out real moogle names.

Thursday, April the 25th, 2002

Do you want the moon on a stick? Well, you'll just have to settle with juicy FFIX Chocobo information instead.

Monday, April the 22nd, 2002

OK, OK, calm down. The FFIX Script is updated once again (what can I say? I'm hooked) with more senseless destruction, more backstabbing, more Kuja, and more Eiko lurrrve.

As if that weren't enough, tada! The FFIX Monster List opens up with heaps of data on over 60 of the game's enemies.

Wednesday, April the 10th, 2002

Don't put that FFIX Script down just yet. Hot on the heels of the last update, we finally finish Disc 2. Oooh.

Saturday, April the 6th, 2002

Well, well, well. Have we got a FFIX Script update for you, or what? Last time we met them, our precious princess had been captured on her return to Alexandria. In our latest update, we'll have the traditional rescue, we'll chat with a god, we'll witness senseless destruction, and we'll even make our way to the furthest reaches of the known world... I just hope they're up for it.

Monday, April the 1st, 2002

Are the various scripts a little too heavy going? Help us extract the dialogue gems with our new collection of Quotes.

Friday, March the 22nd, 2002

Stay ahead of the game with our (ir)regularly-scheduled Mailing List. Mmm, tasty.

Wednesday, March the 13th, 2002

Quick little update today: A new Zidane/Dagger wallpaper in response to a request.

Monday, March the 11th, 2002

Shock! Horror! An update! We've got a creamy pile of Eidolon data and screenshots. Mmm.

Oh, and yay us! Is has been exactly one year since Eternal Legend first appeared on the internet as a self-contained website. It has been through some tough times, spanning three servers and some intense downtime, but we're still standing. A big w00t to everyone who made that possible. As a special gift, we revive the best comic strip the world has ever seen:

Wednesday, February the 20th, 2002

A slightly belated Valentine's Day special for you fans of Squall and Rinoa: Boatloads of wallpapers.

Thursday, January the 31st, 2002

Get steaming great piles of statistics about FFVIII's (controversial) Junction system.

Friday, January the 25th, 2002

Due to a minor error, the FFVII Script has been forced to skip the military parade and get straight on to seeing Rufus off.

10000 uniques!

And we had our 10,000th unique hit last week. I honestly can't comprehend that statistic. Thank you, and here's to the next 10,000!

5000 uniques!

Oh, and we recently hit the 5000 unique visitors mark! Thank you all for expressing interest in what is still a rapidly growing site.

Sunday, November the 25th, 2001

Belated happy birthdays to Yuffie, Locke, and Irvine. The celebrations were called off shortly after the disappearance of all of the shiny gifts, a stack of Materia, and even Yuffie herself. Whoever pulled this off must have been a skilled thief indeed.

Oh yes, and the FFVII Script (remember it?) continues with battles at Fort Condor, people who miss the times when they used to talk only about fish, Cloud giving mouth-to-mouth to a small child, and nearly electrocuting a dolphin. It's all go, isn't it?

Saturday, November the 17th, 2001

The poll has been enhanced to better show you the results you want to see, and there's a new question.

Monday, October the 29th, 2001

Nearly a month without any real update? Whatever is going on? Well, here are just some of the fruits of our labours. The rest are secret...

Loads of meaty FFIX Script, as Disc 2 opens with Dagger taking the long route back to Alexandria.

If that doesn't take your fancy, then why not surf the 'mognet? The Kupoppinator will let you moogle up any web site in moments.

Thursday, October the 18th, 2001
Happy birthday, Terra

Happy Terra day, one and all. Let the celebrations commence.

Saturday, October the 13th, 2001
Vincent

Today is the birthday of everyone's favourite not-a-vampire, Vincent. Assuming he still celebrates it. Although no one's really sure how many candles to put on the cake.

Thursday, October the 4th, 2001
Quistis

Happy birthday, Quistis. We figured she'd want a low-key event, so we just organised a little gathering in a quiet spot in the Garden. Many happy returns.

Monday, October the 1st, 2001

Nine new Wallpapers for your downloading, culled from the very finest of FFIX movies.

Saturday, September the 22nd, 2001

The FFIX Script (now there's a surprise) reaches a milestone. Disc 1 of Final Fantasy IX is completely and utterly finished. Having reached this point, we are now able to widen our attentions somewhat; the Script will continue to be updated, but not at priority one any more. You might actually get to see other things updated. Oooh.

Wednesday, September the 19th, 2001

Warm, gooey Chocobo Hot & Cold information today, along with the beginnings of a detailed Chocograph guide. No Chocobo enthusiast should be without.

Tuesday, September the 18th, 2001

Have we got some FFIX Script for you, or what? The Village of Dali welcomes our intrepid band of misfits from their exploits in Evil Forest, they discover a dark and disturbing secret, face a trio of deadly magi hell-bent on their destruction, escape to Lindblum in a stolen airship, ruin trans-continental travel for all, receive a new ally into their ranks, plan to stop a war breaking out, and still find time to take part in a traditional festival of death and carnage. It's all in a day's work, really.

Thursday, August the 30th, 2001

Ayako shows us more of her sweet cosplay skills in a small but perfectly-formed update.

Sunday, August the 26th, 2001

Want more FFIX Script? Well, you're in luck if you do. We have an entirely new chapter documenting our heroes' exploits in Evil Forest...

Thursday, August the 23th, 2001
Whatever

Another birthday? Yes, and this time it's the insufferable Squall Leonhart from Final Fantasy VIII. Well, we hope he has a moderate birthday full of various OK events. In the spirit of things, we have Squalled up the site a bit (check the new background) and have some new stuff. Squall likes weaponry, and in that vein there are most of the FFIX's Weapons to browse. And as a personal present, the Magic 8-Squall will help you take the Squall path through life. Rejoice.

Saturday, August the 19th, 2001
Cloud

Cloud Strife celebrates his birthday today, and in honour of it we have agreed to burn those photos Aerith took in Wall Market. Well, he burned them, in a way. He got a bit too close to the cake, and the hair spray fumes ignited, and it all went downhill from there. Because we know he's a bit of a culture vulture, we have Tantalus performing (some of) 'I Want to Be Your Canary' in the FFIX Script for Cloud and a guest. She's waiting outside.

Thursday, August the 16th, 2001
Edgar Sabin

Happy birthday to the Figaro brothers, Edgar and Sabin. The people of Figaro celebrated long into the night in honour of His Highness' birthday. The party came to an abrupt end when one of the fiery Sabins accidentally set Edgar's experimental fireworks off, taking out most of the castle and seriously scaring a cabbage. Still, the people of Narshe said that it looked spectacular.

Monday, August the 13th, 2001

We return from vacation to present not just an entirely new section, but an entirely new game. Final Fantasy IX's Script begins to unfold...

Sunday, July the 15th, 2001

Attention, Mog lovers. Yes, you. You know who you are. You can see his new portfolio in the Sprites.

Friday, July the 13th, 2001

There are a few spanky new entries in the cosplay section.

Saturday, July the 7th, 2001

I'm going straight to hell for this. The Dancing Moogle. Please don't click it.

Tuesday, July the 3rd, 2001

No, we're not dead. Just very busy fixing things. If you want proof, just look at our Final Fantasy VII Script, where you'll find a new chapter.

Saturday, June the 23rd, 2001

We're still moving in, and we should be back to normal next week. Until then, just take a glance over to the right to see our new random screenshot displayer thingy. Oooh.

We also herald the return of the Eternal Legend Poll today! Woohoo! For those unfamiliar with it, the question is randomly generated on each visit, just to keep things interesting.

The Mailing List is being taken down because ListBot is closing its free service.

Monday, June the 18th, 2001

Hrmm... There was something that I wanted to say... Er... Now, what was it? It was quite important... Oh, never mind. It will come to me soon.

Thursday, May the 31st, 2001

Get some Wallpaper for your OS. High-res and high-quality screenshots, untarnished by logos and other additions. Raw Final Fantasy for your desktop.

Wednesday, May the 30th, 2001

Even more Final Fantasy VII, the Weapons. Details and screenshots. If you're wondering about the quality of the shots, then just bear in mind that it is difficult to find show-off poses, especially for Vincent and Cait Sith.

Sunday, May the 27th, 2001

Take cover. The Final Fantasy VII cast is angry, and ready to show off their Limit Breaks. Warning to those with weak HP, there are some pretty powerful attacks in there.

Thursday, May the 24th, 2001

You can now view the Height Comparison Chart for the player characters. This has many uses, as I'm sure you'll agree.

Wednesday, May the 23rd, 2001

Attention all graphics lovers. The Final Fantasy VII Summons now have oodles of lovely shots for your viewing pleasure.

Tuesday, May the 22nd, 2001

Got skillz? The Final Fantasy VI characters have. And here they are. Final Fantasy VI Skills.

Saturday, May the 19th, 2001

Setzer Gabbiani poses for the camera and is added to the Sprites.

Thursday, May the 17th, 2001

The mysteries of the past are revealed in The Origin of Species.

Tuesday, May the 15th, 2001

Finally, the game that inspired this site, Final Fantasy VI, gets some more data up. It's the Espers. That means that we now have Player Character and Summon data for all of the games we cover. Nice.

The Final Fantasy VII Magic Materia has been temporarily removed.

Friday, May the 11th, 2001

Happy birthday to Mog. Sorry for the lack of updates this week, but we've been busy searching for the perfect gift for him. What do you get someone like Mog? Well, after much thought, we realised that there is only one gift worthy. Enjoy your Dance Dance Revolution box, Mog.

Sunday, May the 6th, 2001

One more Final Fantasy VII Script chapter today, with the party encountering some old friends in the Mythril Mines.

The Ancient Library, formerly the Imperial Records, has been redesigned slightly. The big change comes in the way it is handled behind the scenes, so there may still be the occasional bug.

Friday, May the 4th, 2001

Even more Final Fantasy VII Script today, as the Nibelheim flashback comes to a powerful conclusion.

Wednesday, May the 2nd, 2001

First and foremost, a big "happy birthday" to Tifa. To celebrate, we've got new chapters in both the Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII scripts. And for Tifa, because we know you like snowboarding so much, we've got an all expense paid winter sports vacation up at Icicle Inn. Oh, and it must get pretty chilly in that attire, so there's a little something to keep you warm. He's waiting outside.

Saturday, April the 28th, 2001

Following the Final Fantasy VII Boss List, we have the Final Fantasy VIII Monster List. We still need to work out the EXP formalities, but we've made a start.

Friday, April the 27th, 2001

Added the Final Fantasy VII Boss List. It's far from complete, and doesn't even start at the beginning of the game, but it's a start.

Wednesday, April the 25th, 2001

The Triple Triad cards were cleaned up, and a few errors were fixed.

Sunday, April the 22nd, 2001

Did you miss us? Eternal Legend is back, and with more FFVIII stuff than you can shake a stick at. We have Player Characters, a weapon guide, the Triple Triad cards, and the opening of the Script.

Sunday, April the 8th, 2001

Have you seen this boy? He was last seen heading for the Veldt just after his birthday. Answers to the name "Gau." Things were going quite well, or at least as well as can be expected when he's around. Unfortunately, he went missing after Setzer presented him with his gift... Anyway, if you see him, contact us and let us know. Note that he may be tempted by dried meat or shiny things. People eating a Pepperami should be especially vigilant.

Wednesday, March the 28th, 2001

The Magics set of Final Fantasy VII Materia is added.

Tuesday, March the 27th, 2001

The Summon set of Final Fantasy VII Materia is up.

Monday, March the 26th, 2001

Added the Final Fantasy VIII Guardian Forces and the major Player Characters to the Imperial Records.

Saturday, March the 24th, 2001

Added the data on the Final Fantasy VIII Guardian Forces. More to come on them soon.

Friday, March the 23rd, 2001

Cosplay! Sort of. The idea is to dress up characters as other characters.

Opened the Sprites section. It's still under development, but it does have some very nice Terras.

Thursday, March the 22nd, 2001

Added the Mailing List. Join! Join! Well, if you want to.

Information on Final Fantasy VII's locations added to the Imperial Records.

Tuesday, March the 20th, 2001

The Final Fantasy VI Player Characters uploaded. This site finally contains non-FFVII data.

The Poll gets a new "Quick Results" finder.

Two new Final Fantasy VII Script parts added. Cloud's flashback opens in Nibelheim...

Saturday, March the 17th, 2001
Library Girl with Pig-tails   Library Girl with pig-tails:

Happy birthday, Zell! The Library Committee got together with the cafeteria and have managed to get you a voucher for free hot do-- Zell? Zell!? ...sigh...

People behind the site finally get acknowledgement.

Friday, March the 16th, 2001

Are you ready for Zell's birthday?

The rest of the Final Fantasy VII Player Characters uploaded.

Wednesday, March the 14th, 2001

Final Fantasy VII Script ported over, up to the beginning of the Nibelheim flashback.

A few Final Fantasy VII Player Characters added to the roster.

Created the Calendar. Why? Well, the FFVI+ characters have birthdays... I thought I'd put them to good use. If anyone knows of any other important dates, drop us a line.

Tuesday, March the 13th, 2001

Graphics, graphics, graphics. Eternal Legend now has a proper title banner, as does The Planet.

Terra has been adopted as the site's official mascot. That's her in a reporter's hat up top, by the way.

Extremely cool new link buttons have been created. Go see. Now. And link, too. Oh, and hover over the one on the main page. It took hours.

A few more pictures have been added to the Poll.

Sunday, March the 11th, 2001

Eternal Legend declares its independence from Tubbaware Interactive, and the poor SeeDs kept captive are finally released. The people rejoiced in the streets. There was singing, and dancing, and jester types parading in front of a garish neon car. A cat beat a knight in a race around the square. There was a general party atmosphere. Edgar got drunk and declared war on Vector, but nobody let that put a downer on things.

The Poll and Imperial Records are ported over to the new URL. More will follow as they are reformatted.

Spanky comic thing, featuring everyone's favourite source of evil, Selphie. Why? Because she's falling over. That's all the reason you need.

Watch yourself there, Selphie. Those rocks are slippy. Ooh, watch it-- I told you to be careful. Booyaka! Tee hee!

Read older Tubbaware Interactive news.
