You have come so far. Just a few days ago, you were thrust into a strange land. A whole new world, with its own people and history. Slowly, you began to learn more about how it works. You gathered together a group of souls with wildly different pasts. Between you, you unravelled the mysteries of the new world. You discovered age-old civilisations. You revived old secrets long thought to be legends. You discovered more about yourselves and your enemies. You found true evil... and defeated it.
RPGs can touch you in a way that no other entertainment is capable of. They place you not only in a story, but in a whole world. You aren't playing just to see the ending sequence. You're playing to find out what happens next, and to whom. Very few games see you developing an emotional connection with its characters. You begin to know what they are thinking and feeling. You think and feel with them.
These games, and their worlds, are massive and deeply involving. This site exists both as an homage and a guide. It is an attempt to provide a single source of information on a variety of RPGs, and indeed, any games. Naturally, with such a large scope, it'll never be able to offer total coverage. But it is going to try.
Our principles
- Completeness
- Correctness
- Originality
- Simplicity
If there's information to be divulged, we'll print it. We go to great lengths to extract any data we can think of, including entire scripts to games.
Everything you find on Eternal Legend has been experienced and verified by us, so we can be sure that it's mostly right.
Being a "fansite," it's only natural that we'll have information that can be found elsewhere. However, we make a point of not copying things verbatim (either text or graphics) from other websites, and instead experiencing them in the games for ourselves.
Good web design is a particular interest of ours. Our pages are designed to be as simple and accessible as possible, while still being fairly shiny to look at. You shouldn't need Flash or Java just to navigate a website, nor should you even need images. Our HTML is hand-coded to comply to standards and to work on any browser and on any system. No one's perfect, but we believe that everyone should at least try. If something's not quite working for you on Eternal Legend, please let us know and we'll try to fix it.
